CARRIE Bickmore’s beautiful baby daughter is barely two years old, but she’s somehow already acquired a rather rude nickname.
Bickmore made the revelation on Thursday night’s episode of The Project, after the panel played a viral clip of a newsreader getting the giggles while reading a story about a beaver.
“Here’s a fun fact — beavers are almost impossible to discuss in a sensible fashion,” co-host Peter Helliar noted before throwing to the clip.
And it seems Bickmore agrees with him.
“My son’s nickname for our daughter is beaver,” she laughed. When the panel asked how her baby daughter acquired such an unfortunate nickname, she replied: “I don’t know where it came from!”
“Every time he calls out, I giggle,” she laughed, covering her face.
Bickmore was on a roll revealing fun facts about her kids during Thursday night’s show.
During a discussion about kids getting more exercise, the popular host said she only recently let her nine-year-old son Ollie walk to school for the first time.
“This is how much of a helicopter parent I am not — at lunch time my friend said, ‘And he got there OK?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, I think!’” she told the panel.
“She said, ‘Did you not check with the school?’ And I said, ‘Is that what you are meant to do?’
“So I emailed to ask if he made it to school and she was like, ‘It’s lunch time, it’s a bit late now if he didn’t!’”
Points for trying though, Carrie.
