7th Heaven star Stephen Collins is allegedly married to a “superfan” 40 years his junior.
The disgraced actor’s relationship with Jenny Nagel was highlighted in Investigation Discovery’s Hollywood Demons special, which premieres Monday, after Collins admitted to sexually abusing underage girls, per New York Post.
“Stephen Collins now lives with a woman who is 40 years younger than him,” Dr. Drew Pinsky claimed in the documentary, adding, “She was a superfan.”
Dr Pinsky said that the age difference between Collins, 77, and Nagel, 37, “certainly raises an eyebrow.”
“Let’s hope he can commit to this woman and not perpetrate on others,” he added.
The Star Trek: The Motion Picture actor did not participate in the special.
Producers said they reached out to “more than 100 contacts” of the former TV star but “nearly everyone declined to participate or did not respond” and a producer shared off camera that only men agreed to speak with documentarians about their experiences with Collins.
In 2019, the Daily Mail reported that Collins and Nagel tied the knot and were living together in the small town of Fairfield, Iowa.
Nagel reportedly posted about her love for the WB and CW drama in a Facebook post in 2010 — confirming that she was very much a supporter of his show.
The outlet reported that they share a passion for transcendental meditation.
While it’s unclear how they met, Nagel has reportedly been wearing her engagement ring since April 2019 and the $US557,000 home they live in was purchased in August 2017. Their abode has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office and meditation room.
Nagel reportedly moved to Fairfield in 2018 to study transcendental meditation at the Maharishi University Of Management. Meanwhile, Collins reportedly practices transcendental meditation at the members-only facility twice a day.
Collins portrayed do-gooder Reverand Eric Camden in the popular family series, which ran from 1996 to 2007.
His reputation spiralled in 2014 when TMZ published an audio recording of Collins admitting in a marriage counselling session with his then-wife Faye Grant that he had sexually abused three underage girls.
The LAPD had previously investigated him in 2012 after receiving a claim of sexual abuse from 18 years prior, but they could not “substantiate the allegation due to the statute of limitations,” CNN reported.
Collins admitted to “inappropriate sexual conduct with three female minors” in 1973, 1982, and 1994 in a statement to People published December 2014.
“Forty years ago, I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret. I have been working to atone for it ever since,” he said at the time.
7th Heaven re-runs were pulled from the air after his actions came to light, the Los Angeles Times reported.
