LINE-UPS for the first two live concerts with crowds post-coronavirus in Australia – and possibly the world — have been unveiled with some classic and up-and-coming Australian talent to feature in both Darwin shows.

Aussie icons Darryl Braithwaite and Shannon Noll will feature in Reset 2020 on Friday, July 24, while Lime Cordiale and Mallrat will headline the Rebound 2020 music festival on Saturday, July 25.

IT may have been cracker free but Territorians still fired up to celebrate Territory Day 2020

Darwin Events event manager Russell Temple said the return of live music would put the NT on the map as a desirable destination post-coronavirus, with the pair of concerts, both held at the Darwin Ski Club, to appeal to a range of ages.

“We’re keen for Darwin to show it’s Dry season, fabulous weather and attractions to the rest of Australia,” he said.

“We’ve got leading artists in what I call an older genre at Reset 2020, and a younger genre at Rebound 2020.

“They are the first true music festivals that will be held since lockdown.

“They may very well be the first in the world, but certainly across Australia.”

Reset 2020 will also feature Jon Stevens, performing Noiseworks and INXS collections, along with Thirsty Merc.

Meanwhile Hot Dub Time Machine will perform at Rebound 2020.

Mr Temple said the concert would be open to all Australians, with the Territory border opening the week earlier on July 17 but coronavirus regulations would be in place.

“We want — as a condition of entry — for everyone to download the COVID-19 app.

“And certainly we trust our government’s border rules so that, as best as possible, we haven’t got anyone possibly being infected (at the events).”

“We’ll be following all the COVID-19 guidelines. We’ll be working with all the authorities to make necessary provisions to make sure it’s a safe event.”
