20th NIMAs come to Darwin; King Stingray, Mauboy, Bulman School nominated

The National Indigenous Music Awards will host its 20th anniversary celebrations in Darwin on August 10.
Territory icons such as King Stingray and Jessica Mauboy are among the nominated artists, as well as Bulman School and its community.
NSW rapper BARKAA received the most nominations and is listed across three categories.
“It’s always such an honour to be recognised for your work especially when it’s from your people,” she said.
“Thankful to be nominated among my peers, my mob, my people.
“Blakfullas don’t just make Blak music, we make the best music.”
The winners will be announced at the Darwin Amphitheatre at 8pm.
