2021 fabALICE Festival program of events and line-up released

THE Territory’s most fabulous festival is coming back with even more event variety in 2021. And we can reveal the line-up and program for you

THE Territory’s most fabulous festival, fabALICE, is coming back with more event variety in 2021.

The program has now been released and the main event for this year will see the fabALICE Carnivale held at the Alice Springs Desert Park, where revellers can enjoy a night of drag, cabaret, dancing.

This year will be headlined by Adam Thompson and Band, who is best known as the front man of Australia rock band ‘Chocolate Starfish’.

Adam has more 30 years in the entertainment industry under his belt, he has been dazzling audiences with his celebration of his music hero, Freddie Mercury, and Queen.

“Being colourful, inclusive and connected is how I live my life and that’s the type of show you can expect from me,” Mr Thompson said.

Territory Drag Queen royalty will return with Marzi Panne and Miss Ellaneous back dazzle with edgy performances.

fabALICE ambassador Marzi Panne said her experience with the festival since its infancy had been wonderful.

“The team have done am amazing job to put the Festival on in such a tumultuous time. We are really excited to see the program unfold and can’t wait to be back in Alice preforming soon.”

Drag Queens from Drag Territory will also return with Vogue Mega Queen, Ferocia Coutura Prawn Cracker Spice set to perform.

Event Manager Dale McIver said with a wider array of events, there will be something for everyone.

“We are connecting with a number of local business’ for them to host fabALICE Festival partner events.

“These will be run by the individual business and have the fabALICE feel to them, it has been great to have so much support”.

This year’s program includes:

• Street Carnival in Todd Mall on Friday March 12 including Drag Queen performances and a screening of Priscilla Queen of the Desert

• Carnivale under the stars at the Alice Springs Desert Park featuring Adam Thompson Band, Drag Queen performances and local act the Desert Diamonds

• DI-VER-CITY Festival is an all-ages celebration of inclusivity and a safe space for self expression.

• Drag Queen Story time, a Lip Sync Battle competition, a community Rainbow flag raising ceremony, Carnivale after-party, Drag Queen Bingo, pool party and DJ and Screenings at the Alice Springs cinema featuring Bohemian Rhapsody Ellie Abbey.
