Haileybury College’s primary school was also the best performing primary school in the region, sharing the top spot with Lighthouse Christian College Cranbourne with an average score of 588.4.

Mentone Girls Grammar School in Mentone was the second best primary school with an average score of 544.8.

Seaford Primary School and Karingal Heights Primary School ranked at the bottom of the region’s primary schools, with their grade five results averaging well below scores in the rest of the region.

To determine how each school performed in 2025, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort – Year 5 or Year 9 – were combined and the average found. Students are tested on their reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy skills.
