A SATELLITE F-35 Integrated Training Centre skilling Australia’s top gun pilots in virtual battle in the cockpit of the stealth fighter will be a key addition to RAAF base Tindal next year as part of the Federal Government’s $8 billion dollar Territory defence upgrades.

A team of 50 staff will install F-35 Training Systems, including full mission simulators to give pilots the most realistic experience as possible while training. New positions will open for simulator instructor pilot; simulator technicians; and training and information technology system administrators.

Additionally, 10 staff members will also be employed on long-term contracts at the base as off-board information systems administrators and field service engineers and logistics support.
