THE NT News called out to you, our readers, to help us find the Territory’s favourite tradie

And the people have spoken, with Neill Carberry of NC Electrical & Air Conditioning, Solar City, claiming victory by a sizeable margin.

Neill was nominated by many of his clients when the NT News first put out the call on Facebook to find the Territory’s best.

He said a good tradie needed to know what they were doing and simply provide a quality solution to their customers.

“You need to have a thorough understanding of the industry, commitment to customer service, be a tradie who cleans up after himself and commitment to a quality product,” he said.

“You need to be someone who tries to set the bar as high as possible in order to maintain the integrity of the industry.”

Neill said after establishing the electrical and airconditioning component of his business in 2010, he branched out into solar and renewable products in 2014.

“I am grateful for the public vote, obviously my commitment to providing quality products, quality service, commitment to the industry and renewable energy is great and I’m honoured to be presented with award,” he said.

“It’s the consistent positive feedback we receive from clients in regards to the level and quality of work we provide.”

Neill ran away with the popular vote, polling 211 votes, almost half of the total with 46.7 per cent of the total vote.

He finished ahead of BTC Constructions’ Brendan Cunningham who received 157 votes.

Heavy diesel mechanic Ricky Crawford and Florance Electrical’s Alex Florance tied for equal third, while BM Builders’ Shane Bryant and Tennyson Moran put Katherine on the podium and rounded out the top five.
