THE Territory Government has released the mandatory COVID-19 safety checklist for businesses set to reopen on June 5.
Businesses will have about three weeks to submit plans for how they intend to comply with the checklist before they can reopen under Stage 3 of the COVID-19 restrictions rollback plan.
The checklist will cover several businesses and activities, including the operation of licensed gaming, resumption of team sports, reopening of cinemas, theatres and nightclubs as well as previously restricted beauty and tattooing services.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner said on Monday the checklist would cover things like hygiene protocols for staff, cleaning and disinfecting procedures, spacing requirements and physical distancing.
“We’ve made it as simple as possible for businesses to open under Stage Two, and Stage Three will be just as simple,” Mr Gunner said.
“It’s a common sense checklist because common sense is all it takes – let’s keep it simple and stay the best.
“I know businesses want to do the right thing because it’s good for them and good for their customers.”
The guide will also provide information for major events including the Darwin round of the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
