THE executive officer position in the office of the ProâVice Chancellor VET is no longer required in the proposed new Charles Darwin University structure announced on Tuesday.
Also to go will be the Executive Director VET Education Innovation position.
So too will the personal assistant to the executive director VET Education Innovation.
These are among the key staff changes proposed to reap $10 million in savings across numerous areas of CDU.
In the College of Engineering, the two VET Heads of School positions will be no longer required.
In the School of Primary Industries three academic positions, two professional (HEW) positions and two team leader roles are considered no longer required.

The School of Trades is proposed to condense from four to three teams, with one team leader position to go.
It is proposed that CPP40115 Certificate IV in Building Design Drafting will be scrapped and Construction, Carpentry and Plumbing will be delivered from the redesigned teams, which will result in two teaching positions going.
The Metal Trades and Engineering Team is oversubscribed in the fabrication area and the Casuarina-based teaching group will lose one position.

The Automotive and Civil stream’s Light Vehicle Casuarina-based group is also over subscribed and one position will go.
In addition, one vacant position from Civil Construction will not be filled in the proposed structure.
