CCTV footage from a neighbouring property released over the weekend showed a person running from the scene after seemingly being engulfed in flames, leading to speculation the arsonist would need to be treated for burns.
It’s believed the suspected culprit lit a generator alight.
In a statement released Monday, NT Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
“Police believe the person seen in the vision may have suffered burns in the process of lighting the fire,” the statement said.
“That person may have sought treatment for their injuries,” it said.
It comes as bulldozers moved in on Monday to level what remained of the burnt out structure.
