THE NT Government is pitching in to continue and extend the successful MyDarwin discount voucher scheme to take it Territory-wide.
The Government will extend the Darwin council’s successful voucher scheme initiative to make it available to all NT councils.
Local councils can access up to $200,000 for the voucher scheme on a dollar for dollar value matched by the council.
Councils will also receive help in setting up the online platform with the help of Darwin council, which will provide the online platform.
The vouchers can be used in a variety of businesses including retail and hospitality with 350 venues signing up.
Darwin council will also receive $200,000 to continue with its program.
Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the program was an opportunity for Government and councils to work together and support Territory businesses.

“With the support of the Territory Labor Government and the use of City of Darwin’s online platform, I encourage all councils to take up this offer and support our local businesses,” he said.
Darwin Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said he was proud of the success of the program.
“This initiative has provided real and immediate benefits to local businesses at a time it is needed the most,” Mr Vatskalis said.
“City of Darwin are very happy to share our MyDarwin platform with other local councils, with the assistance of the Northern Territory Government, so that local businesses across the NT can reap the benefits.”
