Ms Murphy said she would be pitching the idea of a plastic recycling ‘microlab’ where people can learn how to reduce waste and make their own products out of leftover plastic.
She said the competition was an exciting opportunity to spread the word about her business idea and potentially win funding that could fast-track its development
“For me, it’s about getting people more aware of what we’re doing, because the more people that are aware, the more that might want to set up workshops and sequester more plastic from the environment through recycling,” she said.
