THE popular Territory Tourism Vouchers returned overnight — and were all snapped up within the first two minutes — and the news is they may soon only be available if you’ve had a jab.
The $200 voucher scheme is available to all Territorians – but whether you are vaccinated may become a consideration for future rounds of the popular program.
Tourism and Hospitality Minister Natasha Fyles said the unvaccinated were in the government’s sights.
“We haven’t included (vaccination) at this time with these vouchers,” she said.
“We’re still providing the opportunity for Territorians to be vaccinated.
“By the middle of November, every Territorian will have the chance to be vaccinated and there we may start to pivot the campaigns.”
Registrations opened for vouchers at 8pm on Tuesday and were all allocated within two minutes.
The scheme was fully subscribed during the first three rounds and for every $200 voucher, an average of $389.19 was spent in local businesses.
Launching the fourth round, Ms Fyles urged Territorians to not be discouraged if their initial attempts to register were unsuccessful as there was a waitlist.
