Territory builder Halikos has been split-up in a major restructure

One of the Territory’s biggest companies has formalised a restructure flagged by the NT News in November.

The break-up of the Halikos Group has been completed, with the two principals involved in the company going their separate ways after a 30-year partnership.

John Halikos and Shane Dignan finalised the restructure of the organisation on December 1, three weeks after the NT News flagged the changes in early November.

In a memo to staff, Mr Dignan advised that the Halikos Group had recently separated the business.

“I write to advise that the directos of the Halikos Group have recently undergone a business separation resulting in myself and affiliated entities assuming 100 per cent ownership and management of the Halikos Group,” he wrote in a letter addressed to valued employees.

“Following the separation, I am continuing my role as the group’s managing director.”

Mr Halkos advised the sale was finalised on November 30 with the change of ownership effective from December 1.

“In the coming months, there will be an announcement regarding a rebranding for the current companies, however there are no changes to the company ABNs.”

Under the revised company structure, six business entities overseeing 10 businesses will remain under Mr Dignan’s ownership under the Halikos Group brand.

Under the terms of the separation the new entity has six-months from the end of November to be renamed.
