THE Palmerston branch of the beloved Parap Bakery has suddenly closed its doors.
The shop in the Gateway Palmerston shopping centre was seen to be boarded up on Wednesday morning.
The NT News has confirmed the shop has been closed but it is unclear when or why the decision was made.
Both shops, in Parap and Palmerston, have been listed for sale.
“We have decided to put both Parap and Gateway bakeries on the market after 23 years. Our reason for wanting to sell is to move down south to be closer to our children and grandchildren,” a notice on the Parap Bakery website says.
