A MAJOR careers expo aimed at getting women to consider a career in Defence is coming to Darwin this weekend.
The expo, kicking off at 10am on Saturday at the Darwin Convention Centre, will showcase a range of different roles and opportunities in the ADF.
Specialist recruitment Indigenous team member for defence force recruitment Sergeant Donna Hayes said Defence was working hard to become more diverse.

“The Australian Defence Force has recognised that our armed forces should represent the Australian population,” Sergeant Hayes said.
“If you don’t think that you have what it takes to be in the Defence, but you are interested, we will help you in every way.”
The event, which is the first ADF careers expo aimed specifically at women, will also have information about special six-month programs in the ADF for Indigenous Australians.
