Territorians will soon be able to sink their teeth into a delicious delicacy usually only found down south.
Doughnut Time doughnuts will be sold in Ampol service stations from this month, with the Yarrawonga Ampol Foodary the first store to receive the goodies.
Owner James Willis said more NT locations would follow.
“Doughnut Time’s expansion into all Australian states and territories is a major milestone, positioning Doughnut Time as Australia’s fastest growing doughnut brand,” he said.
“Ampol customers can now add Doughnut Time to the list of essentials, and for the first time customers in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, ACT and Tasmania can try our doughnuts in store.”
Distinguished by the iconic green boxes the sweet treats come in, Doughnut Time has been a popular dessert option in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Melbourne since stores opened in 2015.
In 2018 the store numbers dropped from 30 to seven amid financial problems within the company.
The expansion into the Territory comes as construction began on a Krispy Kreme factory and outlet in February.
