Darwin-born global business leader Andrew Liveris has been honoured by Australia’s Greek community, being named Kastellorizian of the Year 2021.

Darwin-born global business leader Andrew Liveris has been honoured by Australia’s Greek community, being named Kastellorizian of the Year 2021.

Kastellorizian Association of Victoria (KAV) president Nik Spartels said Mr Liveris had shown an extraordinary commitment to the international Greek community, the Australian Greek and Australian communities.

Mr Liveris is co-founder and global chairman of the Hellenic Initiative, a non-profit organisation mobilising the Greek diaspora to invest in the future of Greece, as well as to help the destitute.

“Andrew has remained loyal to his Greek/Kastellorizian roots and his Australian roots,” Mr Spartels said.

“He has personally supported projects in Darwin, where he was born, and in Queensland where he attended university.”
