A NEW wave of orange will sweep through the Darwin CBD in coming months, with Neuron building on its micro-mobility monopoly by introducing eBikes.
There will be 150 eBikes on the streets early next month.
Neuron chief executive Zachary Wang said after a successful first 12 months of eScooters, eBikes would be a valuable inclusion adding flexibility and variety to its fleet.
“We are delighted to partner with the council to launch our first eBike program,” he said.
“We hope our eBikes will open up micro-mobility to a new wave of users who aren’t currently served by the existing eScooter riding area.
“It is great to have another sustainable option for those wishing to ditch their cars for short uneconomical trips.”

The bikes will be connected to more than 30 incentivised parking stations around Darwin, including near no-ride zones, to ensure riders can end their trip.
The prices will be the same as for eScooters and subscription passes will cover both modes of transport.
Mr Wang said an expansion of the services also loomed, along with additional scooters.
“We are very grateful that the City of Darwin has decided to renew our eScooter service for a further 12 months,” he said.
“eScooters have made a positive impact on the city and they have helped boost economic recovery post COVID-19.
“We expect this to continue with the expanded riding area to East Point and Fannie Bay.”
