Mortgage brokers Financia unveil new CBD offices

Mortgage and finance broking firm Financia has unveiled its new state-of-the-art offices in the Adelaide CBD.

Mortgage and finance broking firm Financia has unveiled its new state-of-the-art offices in the Adelaide CBD.

The firm, led by directors Leon Spadavecchia and Ben Finis, has relocated its 18 staff to 459sq m of ground floor space at 60 Hindmarsh Square, following a multi-million dollar investment in the acquisition, upgrade and fit-out of the property.

Mr Spadavecchia said there were several reasons behind the firm’s decision to move from its previous home at Kent Town.

“We wanted to come into the city because that’s where deals are done,” he said.

“We wanted a bit of a lifestyle change for our team as well, to be able to enjoy their lunch break or to be able to go and see clients out in the city, because a lot of our clientele actually do operate in the city as well. So it made sense.

“And part of it also was the fact that you can go for a walk down the road, you end up bumping into somebody you haven’t seen for a while – talk starts to get around, a bit of noise, a bit of momentum, and deals get done. So that was part of the methodology for coming back into the CBD.”

Financia will host an event on Friday to celebrate its office opening.

It follows the recent launch of buyers agency – Negotiata – which the firm has established to capitalise on what Mr Spadavecchia describes as a “big gap in the Adelaide market”.

“In Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne buyers agencies are massive. More and more people are going to a buyers agent to be able to source, secure, negotiate a property,” he said.

“There are some buyers agents in Adelaide, but it hasn’t been very prominent.

“So it was really another service to our clientele, and also to the broader public, to be able to say we’re here, we’ve been in the industry for a long time and we’ve got a lot of real estate contacts.”
