We’ve waited all year, but Fed head Janet Yellen has finally done it.

In his weekly video wrap of the week in finance, above, Terry McCrann says that Ms Yellen — by lifting interest rates — has transformed the 2017 outlook for the entire world.

In particular, it has delivered a huge Christmas present to her downunder colleague, Reserve Bank governor Philip Lowe.

And indeed, it has delivered a Christmas present to all of us.
