THE Department of Tourism has spent $1.2m to promote the Northern Territory to European tourists over the next two years despite the future of international travel still being unclear.
Tender documents reveal the NT Government has awarded a contract for tourism marketing representation services in the United Kingdom and Germany full time for two years.
The contract also includes providing tourism marketing services in France, Italy, Scandinavia and Switzerland on a project basis.
The Department of Tourism awarded the $1,208,709 contract to Emotive Travel Marketing Ltd on December 18.
