Based on house median days on the market, realestate.com.au found Rapid Creek properties spent a median of just 32 days on the market.

Nightcliff followed with 41 days and Jingili with 42 days.
Across the Territory, the median is 78 days on the market.
Real Estate Central sales professional Susie Patton-Quinn said Nightcliff homes sold quickly.
Her listing, 43 Grevillea Cct in Nightcliff is under contract after an intense four-week auction campaign. The iconic Round House of Nightcliff sold five days after auction.
Ms Patton-Quinn said the swift sale was a testament to the unique home and its location.
“People come to Nightcliff for the lifestyle,” she said.
“It’s a very established area and most families stay forever. Block sizes tend to be quite large and many of the houses in Nightcliff are very unique and interesting.
“A lot of families love Nightcliff for the different schools. You can go around Nightcliff and all the homes are quite different. There’s nothing ordinary about Nightcliff.”
Ms Patton-Quinn attested to Nightcliff’s popularity, having lived in the suburb for 10 years.
“My boys went to Nightcliff Primary and they love fishing and are always on the water or fishing off Nightcliff Jetty,” she said.
“I believe it is the best suburb to live in Darwin.”

Ray White Nightcliff principal and sales professional Matt Englund said Jingili was one of Darwin’s best kept secrets.
“It’s a very tightly held suburb, always has been,” he said.
Mr Englund said Jingili’s proximity to amenities such as Casuarina Square and Charles Darwin University was one of the many reasons houses sold quickly.
“A lot of parks back onto houses as well which is a bit different to most suburbs,” he said.
“I’ve always thought Jingili was a cool suburb because of that.”

He said Jingili and neighbouring suburb Alawa were two of Darwin’s up and coming areas.
“Everyone talks about Rapid Creek and Nightcliff,” he said.
“But I think Alawa and Jingili are going to be two hot spots.”
