TERRITORY Proud has launched its inaugural event to support Territory businesses – First Aid for Darwin Businesses – providing much-needed advice and support for those businesses who need it most.
The event, to be held on Thursday, March 21, at SkyCity Darwin from 2pm-8pm, has been developed to provide practical ideas to help Territory businesses ride out the current challenging economic times.
Territory Proud chair Marie-Clare Boothby said attendees would hear from a diverse group of local business leaders who had successfully managed to weather tough times in the past.
“While just about all businesses in the Territory are struggling in the current economic climate, we believe the way through is to support and help each other,” Ms Boothby said.
“The purpose of the First Aid for Business event is for successful business leaders in our community to offer their expertise and guidance on a range of different subjects.”
The event will feature a keynote speech from Suzi Hullick NT/SA general manager Westpac Bank, plus a trade show, panel discussions from local business leaders, interactive roundtable discussion with subject experts and networking covering the areas of:

• Financial focus
• Working smarter
• People and payroll
• Protecting your assets and innovative capital raising
• Taking care in tough times
• How the NTG can support your business
The event is free for Territory Proud members and $10 for non-members, including a free beverage.
