THE Emerald Springs Roadhouse is one of 35 remote roadhouses, wayside inns and caravan parks across the NT to get a slice of $4 million to upgrade their facilities.
The Emerald Springs Roadhouse near Pine Creek are getting $120,000 — as a part of the NT Government’s Roadhouse to Recovery Fund — to build a new family cabin accommodation, a children’s playground and install a swimming pool.

The fund offers grants of up to $150,000 for applicants, along with their own contribution of $50,000, to help businesses improve infrastructure and visitor experience.
The Threeways Roadhouse near Tennant Creek are also getting a $150,000 grant to construct three new family cabins and an outdoor garden bar.
In the Top End, 21 businesses received grants, with the government funding more than $2.4 million for the projects.
In Central Australia, there were 14 successful applicants, who together contributed more than $900,000.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the grants would ensure money keeps flowing locally.
“We will see millions of dollars of work carried out across the Top End and Central Australia, which will keep Territory tradies on the tools,” he said.
