Mindil Beach Casino Resort: Delaware North network to help Northern Territory tourism

MINDIL Beach Casino Resort general manager Mark Bennett has worked at many different destinations but says nowhere is as friendly as Darwin

MINDIL Beach Casino Resort general manager Mark Bennett has spent a lot of time travelling in his time with US international giant Delaware North working at a number of different destinations.

He says in the five months he has been in Darwin he has never struck a more friendly community and he wants to cement the Mindil Beach Casino Resort as a key contributor.

“Mindil Beach is part of this community now,” he said.

“Delaware North is committed to being a strong contributor to Darwin and the Northern Territory.”

Mr Bennett said Delaware North as the largest private sector employer in Darwin recognises its responsibility to be a business leader.

“Our aim will be to help bolster tourism. If we can bring more tourists to the Territory through our international resources everyone hopefully can benefit.

“We have a number of plans to make this happen, including a plan to roll out a loyalty rewards program.

“We are looking forward to building strong business relationships with the aim to promote future growth in the Northern Territory,” he said

“This is about driving loyalty through our sister properties and Mindil Beach. We will be looking to leverage some of the different experiences that Delaware North provides here and throughout our networks.

“We want to use this to drive visitation.

“We have a strong network and we intend to use it to increase tourist numbers in Darwin and elsewhere.

“While there are the obvious synergies with our gaming properties in the US, there will be opportunities to promote two-way travel. I know a lot of our US customers will be very interested in travelling here.

“Likewise I think Darwin people will be interested in a visit to our US properties.”

Mr Bennett said chief in plans is to be a good corporate citizen.
