NEURON’S e-scooters will expand to Mindil Beach Casino Resort and George Brown Botanic Gardens from tomorrow as the trial approaches the six-month milestone.
The expansion will also add 100 more e-scooters to cover the further 1.4 sqkm of riding area as well as eight new scooter stations, including at Eva’s Cafe, Mindil Beach Sunset Markets and Gardens Oval.
However, riders will not be able to enter the casino or gardens areas, while entry to the Mindil Markets will be on a timed geofence stopping people from entering at certain times.

Neuron Mobility chief executive Zachary Wang said the expansion had come due to the scooters’ popularity in Darwin.
“We are delighted to be extending Darwin’s existing riding area to incorporate Mindil Beach and up to the Botanic Gardens,” he said.
“E-scooters are a great way for locals as well as tourists to travel in a safe, convenient and fun way and the expansion will have a positive impact for the city.”

Neuron’s e-scooters were launched for a year-long trial on January 15.
