The King St venue was one of the first Sydney franchises of its kind that offered mini golf and a cocktail bar after opening in 2017.

“As we finish up our lease period, we want to thank the amazing Newtown community for their fantastic support and for completing literally hundreds of thousands of rounds of minigolf over the last seven years,” Holey Moley said in a statement.

Patrons could play 18 holes of mini golf at the venue, along with given access to private karaoke rooms and a bar.

It is understood staff have been offered roles at other venues and the King St building is once again up for lease.

Holey Moley’s parent company Funlab said patrons could still “putt loose” at its neighbouring venues, including Alexandria.

There are about 30 venues across Australia, including in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Canberra, Queensland and Western Australia.
