The Coles Express at Winnellie is closing down

A POPULAR Darwin service station on the Stuart Highway is closing down.

It will close down after this Sunday.

Signs at the Coles Express service station in Winnellie say it will no longer be open from June 8.

The NT News understands the lease on the building has come to an end.

It is believed the owner of the building has chosen not to offer an ongoing lease to Coles.

There are other Coles Express service stations in Darwin city, Nightcliff, Casuarina, Yarrawonga, Palmerston and Coolalinga.

There are three Coles Express service stations in Alice Springs and one in Katherine.
