CLP leader Lia Finocchiaro has revealed her party’s plans to fast-track the establishment of a manufacturing hub at the Middle Arm Industrial Precinct if elected.
Announcing the policy yesterday, Ms Finocchiaro said the CLP would then provide incentives for manufacturing businesses to set up within the Middle Arm Industrial Complex.
“The Middle Arm Peninsula is ideally placed to maximise synergies being close to the Darwin Port and accessible by road and rail,” she said.
Ms Finocchiaro said the project would be established through their proposed Office of the Territory Coordinator, rather than “the four or five government departments” it currently operates within.

CLP candidate for Brennan Marie-Clare Boothby said the complex would “invite other businesses to the Territory, which will then create jobs”.
