THE Urban Development Institute of Australia NT has a new president and chief executive officer.
Northern Territory Airports property director Ross Baynes was elected president at the organisation’s AGM after UDIA NT stalwart Shane Dignan decided to step down from the role.
Mr Dignan will continue as a committee member. Mr Baynes brings more than 27 years of property asset and development experience to the presidency role.
He has been property director at Northern Territory Airports since 2010. In addition, he also served on the Darwin Division of the Development Consent Authority from 2014 to 2016.
At the AGM the organisation also welcomed newly appointed chief executive officer Gerard Rosse.
Mr Rosse brings industry experience through active industry consulting roles along with executive experience at both Darwin and Palmerston councils, previously holding departmental general manager and director positions respectively. Mr Rosse also serves on the national board of the Australian Smart Communities Association.
