IT’S butterflies and bunnies for the Batchelor Butterfly Farm and Petting Zoo, as the venue prepares to open as part of the rolling back of coronavirus restrictions in the NT.
At noon this Friday, Territorians will be allowed back into some national parks.

Chris Horne, who owns the family-run business, said the NT Government had told them they would be allowed to open as long as social distancing measures remained in place.
For weeks, the business has only been able to offer takeaway food and drinks, losing an estimated $35,000 in revenue.

“We’re allowed to open our butterfly tours, as long as people are kept 1.5 metre apart,” Mr Horne said.
“It’s quite exciting, it will be nice to see some children again.
“(We can go back to) making food, showing people butterflies, making people happy … it’s a different world when we’re not open.”
