THE Bakers Delight store in the Mitchell Centre, Darwin CBD is the latest business to close its doors.
Photos of the closure have been circulating on social media.
There are now eight empty shopfronts within the centre and several more vacant spaces in the complex that front on to Mitchell St.
It is further bad news for CBD shoppers who have seen several businesses close down in the past few months as the economy slows.
The Bakers Delight store which has closed is next to the Coles’ CBD store.
The closure follows hot on the heels of the iconic Go Sushi restaurant closing its doors after 19 years.
Bakers Delight have been contacted for comment.
