Ayers Rock resort wins top gong at National Australian Hoteliers Association awards
A TERRITORY resort has picked up a top gong at the National Australian Hoteliers Association awards held on the Gold Coast.

AYERS Rock Resort has received the “Best Tourism Initiative” award at the Australian Hotels Association Awards held on the Gold Coast.
Hospitality NT chief executive Des Crowe said the resort was a fitting winner, among a Territory “choc-a-bloc full” of great restaurants, pubs, clubs, accommodation and wayside inns.

“There are a lot of great venues doing extraordinary things across the country so for Ayers Rock Resort to be given national recognition is an amazing result for the team based at this standout property,” he said.

The resort was one of 28 finalists from the Territory, including the Beachfront Hotel, Hot Tamale, The Landmark at Gateway and the Berry Springs Tavern, which were nominated in multiple categories for the awards, which were held on Monday night.
