POPULAR Alice Springs Restaurant, Grill Me Crazy, has been noticed by the foodies of Australia as a great place to grab a bite with a national award in the state/territory category.
The business opened a year ago and has been announced as Menulog’s NT People’s Choice winners.
Based on outstanding order numbers, overall customer satisfaction and thousands of customer votes through Menulog’s competition, Grill Me Crazy has won a share of $50,000 in bespoke advertising to help its business thrive.
The most ordered item through Menulog is its Mexican parmigiana.
Owners Yamini and Asha Gauba started their culinary journey only a year ago, but have a long background working in hospitality.

Mr Guaba has worked “all around the world on cruise lines and star hotels”.
He said to be recognised as the winners in Alice Springs, let alone in the whole of the NT, was great.
“To be awarded as the NT Menulog People’s Choice winner within our first year of
operation and during hard COVID times, speaks volumes for the hard work and dedication
of our team,” Mr Guaba said.
“This would not be possible without the support of our local Alice Springs community,
interstate travellers, friends, family and our two young boys.”
He said they started with mexican cuisine, gourmet burgers and pizzas and had started to make changes to the menu when COVID-19 hit.

“We introduced a parmi with a twist as pubs were closing.
“We have a lot of speciality items like making our own cheese sauce, and our salsa. We do handmade nachos and after adding these (business) has gone through the roof.”
