The new city entrance opened for the first time on Saturday from the new junction with Frances Bay Dr, Tiger Brennan Dr and Dinah Beach Rd all the way up to its intersection with Cavenagh St.

The $45.4 million project was originally scheduled to wrap up in late 2020 however an unusually dry wet season earlier this has allowed for faster construction.
