A man has died after a fall while on a worksite in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Paramedics and police rushed to the site on Moverly Road in Maroubra, at about 11:15am on Thursday.
A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed that the man had fallen “several metres to the ground”.
However, the man had already died from his injuries by the time help had arrived.
‘Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner,’ a statement from NSW Police reads.
‘Safe Work NSW have been notified.’
A resident on Moverly Rd was deeply saddened by the news of the incident which only happened two doors down from her home.
“It’s so sad, most of the workers are just young men,” she said.
“They’ve been working so hard on this house for the past two years.
“One of them has even helped me bring in my groceries before, it’s terrible news.”
