A WWE champion has posted a photo from a hospital bed, revealing nothing could prepare her for the news she was given.

WWE superstar Carmella experienced an ectopic pregnancy after suffering an “early miscarriage in September.”
In an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, the former WWE women’s champion revealed her devastating news after spending 12 hours in an emergency ward.
The professional wrestler posted a black-and-white hospital photo, writing that she wasn’t “looking for any sort of sympathy” with her social media upload,The New York Post reports.
“Today, I was treated for an ectopic pregnancy,” the 35-year-old wrote. “I never thought something like this would happen to me.
“I spent 12 hours in the ER on Saturday when I started experiencing some sharp pains on my left side,” Carmella, whose real name is Leah Van Dale, continued. “After several tests and ultrasounds, I was given the devastating news that this was, in fact, an abnormal pregnancy.”
The athlete noted that nothing could “prepare” her for the news “after getting a positive pregnancy test.”
She added, “I was cautiously optimistic this time around after the early loss I had already experienced, but was hoping for the best.”
Carmella concluded by calling pregnancy loss an “isolating” experience, encouraging her followers with similar stories to not “blame” themselves.
“For anyone dealing with ANY type of pregnancy loss, I want you to know your feelings and emotions are valid, there is NOTHING wrong with you and you are not alone,” she wrote.
The dancer and her husband, Corey Graves, had not previously been vocal about their plans to conceive.
Carmella and the WWE commentator, 38, wed in April, three years after they began dating.
Carmella turned 35 years old last week. She is a former WWE SmackDown women’s champion and former women’s tag team champ. She is married to WWE announcer Corey Graves, 38.
In the Instagram post, Carmella continued that she was inspired by a recent stand-up special from comedian Iliza Shlesinger.
“My husband and I watched @ilizas new comedy special last week and she spoke openly about her miscarriage. I immediately burst into tears,” the wrestler wrote.
“She went on to explain that we should be speaking more openly about this topic so we, as women, don’t blame ourselves and think there’s something wrong with us. I want to do the same. I’m part of this statistic and it’s happening to me.
““Again, I’m not looking for sympathy, I know I’ll eventually recover from all of this mentally, physically and emotionally.”
