Logan Paul ‘trashes’ Australia and starts a fight

Wild scenes erupted in Perth yesterday as wrestling superstars talked trash and traded blows ahead of tonight’s highly-anticipated WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 inside Optus Stadium.

However the Southern Oval quickly spiralled into fan-fuelled chaos.

Logan Paul ‘trashes’ Australia, starts fight

Logan Paul isn’t a fan of Perth and wanted fans to know it when he entered the stage yesterday to face up against fellow Elimination Chamber opponents Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

The YouTuber turned exhibition boxer and now wrestler is the reigning WWE United States champion, but his title clearly didn’t mean anything to thousands of Aussie fans who immediately booed him on Friday.

As he came out smiling, holding his US champion belt, the crowd hurled insults at the American star.

“Oh, y’all going to yell at me huh?” Paul asked the angry crowd. “You gonna boo me?

“I flew 30 hours to get booed?

“OK, if that’s the direction you want to go, we can go there.”

A ‘Logan sucks’ chant quickly swept through the crowd as Paul waltzed across the stage with his champion belt in one hand and a Prime energy bottle in the other.

“So it’s WWE’s first time coming to Perth and I’m going to personally make sure it’s the last.

“This place sucks guys. I said when they said we were coming to Perth, I said we gotta be going to Sydney instead.

“I mean even Taylor Swift went to Sydney instead of this dump.

“I’m serious, you Google the top 10 things to do as a tourist in Perth and number one is go visit an island full of rats. Not so different from you people, huh? Yikes.

Paul’s dig at nearby Rottnest Island and its friendly, selfie-taking quokkas did not go down well with the fans, who continued to turn against the US champion.

Tensions boiled over when Logan Paul offered his bottle of Prime to Owens, who smacked the energy drink out of his hand and kicked off a tense on-stage fight.

The feuding superstars had to be separated with the help of WWE icon Triple H before they both stormed off stage, all but guaranteeing a tense head-to-head in the Elimination Chamber tonight.

‘Imma squash you again in front of your mum’

Another Prime-related showdown spelled trouble for the women when World Championship contenders Nia Jax and homecoming Aussie Rhea Ripley traded blows.

“You’ve laid out every single person in my women’s division and that takes a lot, so well done, there’s your flowers – you’re doing great sweetheart,” Ripley teased Jax.

“When you step into the ring with me tomorrow you’re not stepping into the ring with anyone, you’re stepping into the ring with Rhea bloody Ripley and the rest of Australia.”

The Adelaide-born star clearly had the crowd on her side as chants of ‘Nia sucks’ and ‘Mami’s gonna kill you’ rung across the press conference, referring to Ripley’s widely popular nickname ‘Mami’. Although Jax tried to convince fans she was the real homecoming star, having been born in Australia before moving to the United States, the crowd would not turn against fan-favourite Ripley.

“Mami’s on top?,” Jax mocked the Aussie superstar.

“Girl imma squash you again in front of your mum. I hope she’s sitting front row, so her little baby girl can look her mum in her eyes and cry ‘mum’ as you’re getting the life squashed out of you”

“Does everyone want a little preview of what’s going to happen tomorrow to Rhea Ripley, your beloved?,” Jax asked the crowd.

But Ripley quickly returned the offer and threw a bottle of Prime in Jax’s face, dousing her opponent’s hair and clothes in green energy drink.

The reigning Women’s World Champion set the tone for tonight’s highly-anticipated fight and left the stage with some parting words for Jax.

“Splash splash b***ch.”

Aussie stars’ epic double ‘shoey’

The chaos continued as Ripley was joined on stage by fellow Aussie ‘icon’ Grayson Waller, the Sydney history teacher turned professional wrestler and trash-talker.

“The problem is I brought two beers, so how about we finish this properly and the Aussie icon and Mami do a shoey,” Waller announced to the crowd, sticking true to his earlier promise that he would not “leave here if I don’t drink from a shoe”.

“This might be the proudest moment of my life ladies and gentleman,” the Sydney King added as he opened his beer and the duo enjoyed a hero’s welcome.

“To Australia, cheers!”

The stars’ drunk out of white shoes as the crowd went wild for the home turf celebration. Ripley later told news.com.au she had only bought the “brand new pair of converse last week” and “didn’t even like beer,” offering fans a glimpse into the iconic moment.
