“The shape of our family is complete,” the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram, sharing a beautiful pic with newborn Archie and her husband Luke.

“(Definitely promise it’s for reals this time! I’m really *almost* certain this time.. though I’ve come to realise that I probably would have babies forever, I know that I’ve pushed my body to its absolute limits with this one).

“Every birth I’ve had has been extraordinary and this one was no different. Calm, full of joy and laughter, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to meet our baby boy.

“Archie is already getting suitably smothered by his 3 big sisters and big brother. We have all been struck with love. ️

“Just as a fun fact: we didn’t find out the sex of the baby for any of our pregnancies, and I literally guessed the gender of every single one of my children, wrong. I didn’t predict a single one and I feel so lucky because I couldn’t have wished for more.”

Trickett was inundated with well wishes and message of congratulations.

Tennis champion Ash Barty commented: “What a little superstar. Congratulations all around.”

Former Australian swimmer Giaan Rooney said: “Congratulations!!!”

Grant Hackett said: “Woohoo a massive congratulations.”

Meagan Nay added: “Congrats Libby and Tricky! Archie is a lucky dude.”

Jana Pittman said: “Enormous congrats xxxxx.”

The birth of baby Archie means Trickett now has five children — three daughters and two sons.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist has been open with her battles with postnatal depression over the years.

Trickett has previously spoken about how sleep deprivation caused her mental health to go to a dark place and become angry at her children.

“I think whenever you have such a change in your life, it can be always quite daunting,’ she said.

“Especially for me, knowing that I’ve had a history of postnatal depression, and it’s certainly something we are acutely aware of.

“It’s almost like I had a mental break, and I just had this moment where I completely lost it at (daughter) Poppy, I was screaming at her,’ she said.

“The progression of the extreme sleep deprivation that she put everyone through just spiralled my mental health and my mental illness to a point that I became scared of me.

“I couldn’t imagine being an eight-month-old baby and being screamed at.”

Trickett won gold in the 100m butterfly at the Beijing Olympics and along with three relay golds at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
