Twitter craze called ‘pass out pages’ hits social media, as students swap photos of each other drunk
FORGET bubbling, planking and even horsemaning – a new dangerous trend has hit social media with users posting ‘pass out’ pages after getting drunk.
SOCIAL media’s never-ending capacity to dredge up the lowest in human behaviour has won out again, with the latest craze on Twitter featuring uni students snapping photos of each other passed out while drunk.
Called the “pass-out pages”, hundreds of photos have appeared on Twitter under #passouts showing American university students apparently passed out blind drunk.
The students were snapped on the toilet, under desks, on couches, in libraries and even in the snow.
One unkind student even made a selfie above a girl collapsed drunk on the street.

While the comments left by students show they see the craze as harmless fun, addiction experts said they were worried about the way the pictures seemed to glorify binge drinking.
“I don’t think they get the concept they can die from this,” Mark Johnson, the marketing director for an addiction centre in Minnesota, told the local KARE 11 TV station.
