US politics live: Donald Trump holds military parade on his birthday, shooting as ‘No Kings’ protest in Salt Lake City
As Donald Trump oversaw a military rally to mark the US Army’s birthday (and his own), chaos was breaking out at a rally on the other side of the country.

Witnesses have shared footage of the horrifying moment shots were fired as 10,000 marched during an anti-Trump “No Kings” protest in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Three people have been taken into custody after the shooting left a man with a “critical” wound.
In a video shared by onlooker Kris Pendleton with The Salt Lake Tribune, the crowd can be seen reacting with fear as gunshots ring out.
Screams can be heard as protesters – some holding large signs – run for cover.
The countrywide protests coincided, by design, with President Donald Trump’s military parade in Washington D.C., which marked both his own birthday and that of the US Army.
