Wednesday, US time, was a big day following the US election.
A historic meeting took place at the White House as President Joe Biden hosted President-elect Donald Trump - both his predecessor in office and his soon-to-be successor.
“Welcome back,” said Mr Biden as they posed for pictures in front of the Oval Office fireplace.
“Appreciate it, Joe,” replied a cheerful Mr Trump.
Meanwhile the Republicans have officially claimed a majority in the House of Representatives after more than a week of votes being counted, meaning they’ll control the House, the Senate and the White House until at least January of 2027.
And Mr Trump has revealed his nominees for more important roles in his second administration, including former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as his director of national intelligence and Congressman Matt Gaetz as his attorney-general.
The latter, in particular, has raised eyebrows even among Mr Trump’s Republican colleagues. And that is putting it politely.
