Charlie Kirk shooting live: Musk’s message to UK during wild protests
Elon Musk has slammed the left at London’s massive far-right anti-immigration protest, while accusing “people on the left” for “openly” celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death.
Welcome to today’s archived US blog for September 15.
Featuring heavily today was the continuing fallout from last week’s Charlie Kirk shooting.
Alleged shooter Tyler Robinson is “not co-operating” with officials as investigations into the assassination of the far-right activist continue.
Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, is being held without bail on several charges including aggravated murder, according to officials.
In a series of interviews on Sunday morning (US time), Utah Governor Spencer Cox said Robinson’s romantic partner, as well as his family are all co-operating with the FBI investigation into the shooting.
“It’s very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” Mr Cox told the Wall Street Journal.
Mr Cox said Robinson had been living with his unidentified transgender partner at a home in Utah.
“The roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to female,” he said.
The gunman fired a single, fatal shot killing Mr Kirk – a 31-year-old who rallied youth support for Mr Trump – during an appearance at a Utah university on Wednesday.
Elswehere, US tech billionaire Elon Musk has slammed some at London’s massive far-right anti-immigration protest, while accusing “people on the left” for “openly” celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death.
