‘The moment we stole America back’: Gavin McInnes gloats over Donald Trump win

THE man who delivered a tirade against Waleed Aly for criticising Donald Trump and who said Australia needed to “get your balls back” during the Presidential campaign has delivered a contradictory message following the news of the Republican win.
The “godfather of hipsterdom” launched an attack against The Project host claiming he “can’t handle the truth” while criticising him for “blowing up” and “dramatising” his comments surrounding Mr Trump’s unnerving policies on immigration and women.
In an interview with news.com.au, Mr McInnes predicted Mr Trump’s “landslide victory”, saying, “Trump personifies this sort of freedom to get back to, not literally making America great again, but making America proud of its greatness again”.
“And Australia could do with a f***ing heaping dose of that ... you’ve just got to get your balls back, really.”
Since Mr Trump’s win, Mr McInnes has posted a series of tweets claiming that despite receiving “gloat emails” from conservative pals, it “wasn’t our style” to give the opposition the finger.
“Lots of pals sending me gloat emails. Not our style. That’s like the Prom King making fun of retards. Wish them nothing but the best,” he tweeted.
But just two hours later, his tone was darker.
“I feel like Clark Kent today. I’m just a guy in a suit but if you have a problem, I’d be happy to punch through your face.”

Basically, he knows America hates him because he's black but it still stings. https://t.co/bOYvbm9hJt

News.com.au has contacted Mr McInnes for further comment. Aly said he had no comment about the video when previously contacted by news.com.au.
During the election campaign, Mr McInnes refuted Aly’s claims Mr Trump had sexually assaulted women in a video segment posted to YouTube, two days after Aly condemned the Republican nominee for “double standards”.
“I would think Australians would understand ‘guy talk’ better than most,” Mr McInnes told news.com.au. “Definitely better than Brits. But maybe that country lost its balls long ago.” He also refers to Australia as “the last vestige of masculinity”.
In a recent turn of events, Mr McInnes switched his attention to Aly’s wife, Susan Carland, claiming “whenever I see a white women (sic) in a hijab I just think, ‘Her poor father’.”
Come on, Australia. You're one of the last vestiges of Western Chauvinism. #ProudBoys https://t.co/5S6gXiir6S

And while he toned down the rhetoric overnight, he gloated: “This must be what it feels like to win the lottery.
“It’s only been a day but I gotta be honest, I’m getting kind of tired of winning.”
He posted a YouTube video of ProudBoy Magazine’s election night party, which followed the crowd’s reaction as Mr Trump was announced as President-elect.

During Aly’s editorial, co-written with The Project’s managing editor Tom Whitty, the presenter zeroed in on Mr Trump’s now infamous p***y remarks — a 2005 recording — which shows Mr Trump verbally demeaning women; notably, Access Hollywood host Arianne Zucker and Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O’Dell.
“Behind closed doors there is everything that makes our stomachs turn. The predatory nature. The privilege. The sexism. The double standard. The sinister motivation. Behind closed doors, this is what Donald Trump sounds like,” Aly said.
