The alligator who snatched a four-year-old boy at Florida’s Disney World has been killed
THE alligator that grabbed a two-year-old boy as he played at the water’s edge of a Disney World lake has been trapped and killed.
THE alligator that snatched up and killed a toddler outside a posh Disney World resort was trapped and killed by authorities, it was announced overnight.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said that they were “confident” that the large gator responsible for killing two-year-old Lane Graves had been euthanized, reports the New York Post.
“There are no words to describe the profound sadness we feel for the family of Lane Graves,” said Nick Wiley, executive director of the Florida Wildlife Commission.
“We will continue to keep this family close to our hearts as they deal with the pain and grief of the loss of Lane.”
Alligator hunters trapped and killed a total of six of the large reptiles in the Seven Sea Lagoon and determined through analysis that one was the culprit.
Lane Graves from Elkhorn, Nebraska was attacked while wading in the shallow waters of the lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort last week while his parents stood just metres away.
