Internet provocateur Andrew Tate says he’s giving Donald Trump $200k in controversial social media post

Controversial internet provocateur Andrew Tate has stirred the pot following Donald Trump’s verdict, promising money in a post featuring a racial slur.

'I'm an innocent man' Trump makes a statement following guilty verdict

Controversial internet provocateur Andrew Tate has claimed he is sending Donald Trump $200,000 in a post on X that attracted thousands of comments.

After a historic six-week trial, Trump has become the first former US president to be convicted of a crime.

The 77-year-old was found guilty on all 34 counts of fraud for falsifying business records to conceal payments of $200,000 ($US130,000) to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Addressing the media outside a New York courthouse on Thursday, Mr. Trump, now a convicted felon, called the decision a “disgrace.”

“This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt,” he said. “It’s a rigged trial. A disgrace.”

Tate, who has built a following off stirring up chaos online, said Trump was “his n****r”.

Tate, a former kickboxer and Big Brother contestant, styles himself as a self-help guru, offering his mostly male fans a recipe for making money and “pulling” women.

He has built a millions-strong follower base by baiting reactions from people by trumpeting controversial hot-takes on a variety of political and social issues.

Late last year, Tate discussed Donald Trump becoming US president again in 2024.

“Yeah, we all want Trump to win, that will be amazing for the culture! But then, even though the right-wing culture is hyper-competitive, that’s when real men are in charge of the world again,” he said at the time.

“So if you’re not a real man, you’re gonna be more f*cked than now, because no one will come to help you. I don’t think people know how much personal responsibility they have in all things, especially politics.”

Trump’s reaction

It comes after Mr Trump spoke furiously outside court after being found guilty of all counts in his historic criminal trial.

Addressing media outside the courthouse in New York shortly afterwards, he called the decision a “disgrace”.

“This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt,” he said.

“It’s a rigged trial. A disgrace. They wouldn’t give us a venue change. We were at 5% or 6% in this district, in this area.

“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here.

“We didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a very innocent man and it’s OK, I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution. Our whole country is rigged.”

He then blamed the Biden administration and slammed the United States as a country “gone to hell”.

“This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent, and I think it’s just a disgrace and we’ll keep fighting. We’ll fight to tend and we’ll win. Because our country has gone to hell. We don’t have the same country any more. We have the same country any more. We have a divided mess. We are a nation in decline, serious decline.

“Millions and millions of people pouring into our country right now from prisons and from mental institutions, terrorists. They are taking over our country. We have a country that’s in big trouble. But this was a rigged decision, right from day one with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case.

“Never! And we will fight for our constitution. This is long from over. Thank you very much.”

“End of America”

Just moments after his conviction, Donald Trump’s Truth Social account began posting fundraising requests.

“I AM A POLITICAL PRISONER,” the post reads.

His campaign was also swift to send out an email asking for donations.

“Is this the end of America?” it asks.

“I was just convicted in a RIGGED political Witch Hunt trial: I DID NOTHING WRONG!

“But with your support at this moment in history, WE WILL WIN BACK THE WHITE HOUSE AND MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Biden responds

US President Joe Biden issued a statement on X, formerly Twitter, in response to the verdict.

“In New York City today, we saw that no one is above the law,” he wrote.

“Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain.

“But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box.

“Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.”

He went on to call the Trump campaign “unhinged” and called on the American people to reject the “chaos” that would ensue if he were elected.

“The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater,” he added.

“He is running an increasingly unhinged campaign of revenge and retribution, pledging to be a dictator ‘on day one’ and calling for our Constitution to be ‘terminated’ so he can regain and keep power.

“A second Trump term means chaos, ripping away Americans’ freedoms and fomenting political violence – and the American people will reject it this November.”
