Five people reportedly shot near anti-Donald Trump rally in mass shooting

FIVE people have been shot in Seattle, United States, near an anti-Trump rally. Two are in critical condition.

FIVE people were shot after “some type of an argument” in downtown Seattle, United States, near an anti-Trump rally.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the five victims were found on the street in front of a convenience store and at an nearby bus stop.

A spokesman said there may have been “some type of an argument” before the suspect walked away and then turned around and started firing.

Some of the victims may not have been involved in the argument and were innocent bystanders.

The shooting, which happened about 6.45pm (local time), is not believed to be related to the anti-Trump rally which drew about 6000 people to the area.

A spokeswoman for Harborview Medical Centre, where the patients were taken, said two men were in critical condition, while three other victims are in serious condition. In total, four men and one woman were shot.

The suspect is still at large and escaped on foot.

Earlier about 6000 people took to the streets in Seattle to protest against Donald Trump’s election victory. Protesters rallied across the US including in Chicago, Philadelphia, Portland, Oregon and other cities.
