An Australian diplomat’s husband has plummeted to his death from a luxury high-rise condo in New York.

The 31-year-old plunged from the 27th floor of the building on Fifth Avenue, near the Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan, on Monday.

The man landed on an awning on the 8th floor of the building and was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:30pm, according to authorities.

The man’s identity has been withheld pending family notification.
